2018: G-SHOCK X BAPE
Japanese streetwear brand BAPE feted its 25th anniversary celebrations with a limited-edition collab with G-SHOCK based on the popular GA-110 silhouette. BAPE is one of G-SHOCK’s best-known and earliest collaborators and this marks the first time it is releasing an analog-digital G-SHOCK watch.
The idea for a collaborative watch percolated 5 years before it’s launch. When it was released in Singapore, the coveted 50 pieces got sold out within half an hour.
The body boasts BAPE’s camo print while gold metallic detailing features on the face and back of the watch. “BAPE” and “G-SHOCK” branding and the label’s ubiquitous APE head motif can also be found throughout.
With impact-resistant construction, waterproof 200 meters, LED lighting, diamagnetic, 1/1000 chronograph, world time and many other functions, the design is injected into the overall body with the classic BAPE ® CAMO camouflage pattern.
