Following the release of a camo-print rendition of the full metal GMW-B5000, Casio G-SHOCK is now launching yet another pattern-heavy version of the robust beater, this time using a new production technique: laser-etching.

Taking a fully blacked-out metallic body as its canvas, the Japanese watchmaker employed the help of a laser cutter to etch on a retro-futuristic grid pattern encompassing the entire timepiece, from the bezel to its strap to even its digital dial. Finishing the aesthetics is a screw-lock caseback with a DLC finish. Of course, in usual G-SHOCK fashion, the watch is as functional as it is a looker, boasting an enhanced shock-resistant structure thanks to the implementation of a resin-based cushioning material. Other standard features include multi-band 6 atomic timekeeping, a world timer supporting up to five different timezones, solar charging, Bluetooth connectivity to the brand’s proprietary smartphone app, and full-LED automatic backlight.
